Vidalo sets cookies that are needed to make the website work. Only if you consent are cookies added for statistics (Google Analytics) and for advertising (Meta). Here is exactly what we put on your device and what other parties do.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website puts on your device so the site recognises you when you change pages or come back. Where this cookie policy speaks of cookies, it also means similar techniques for storing or reading data on your device, such as browser storage (local storage). We do not use that storage.
Consent
Cookies needed to make the site work may be set without consent (article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act); we do tell you they are there. For statistics and advertising we ask your consent first, with a button to refuse that is as easy as the button to accept. Before you choose, we load no script from Google or Meta and set none of their cookies. If you refuse, it stays that way.

Statistics, only with your consent
With Google Analytics we see how many people visit the site, how they arrive and which pages they read. For this Google receives your IP address, your browser and the pages you view; Google Analytics does not store the IP address. We do not share this data with Google for advertising and do not link it to your account.

Advertising, only with your consent
With the Meta pixel we measure whether people who clicked a Vidalo advertisement on Facebook or Instagram visit the site and start a check, and we can show advertisements to people who visited the site before. For this Meta receives your IP address, your browser, the pages you view and, if you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram, the link to that account. We and Meta are jointly responsible for collecting and passing on this data; what Meta does with it afterwards falls under Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Other parties
On the free check and on signing in we load Cloudflare Turnstile from challenges.cloudflare.com. Turnstile reads characteristics of your browser and device to tell people from robots. This is needed to protect the check and signing in against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
If you pay, you go to a Stripe page; Stripe's cookie policy and privacy policy apply there. If you connect your Google account, you sign in at Google; Google's rules apply there.
If you consent, we load Google Analytics from www.googletagmanager.com and the Meta pixel from connect.facebook.net, as described above. Otherwise we load no scripts, fonts, buttons or advertisements from other parties on vidalo.ai. If we add a service of another party, it will be listed here before we use it.
Changing your choice
‘Cookie settings’ is at the foot of every page. There you see your choice and change it or withdraw your consent; we then delete the Google Analytics and Meta cookies we can reach. You can also always delete cookies through your browser settings; you will then be signed out.
